CellBlock Integrated Wireless Network
The CellBlock System consists of a fully integrated group of
sensors capable of detecting, categorizing, and locating unauthorized wireless
transmissions from cell phones, computers, or any electronic devices within the
30 MHz to 2.7 GHz (6 GHz optional) frequency range. The
detectors include a self healing wireless data link allowing for automatic
reporting to a central facility or between one another without a network
connection. The system is unique in it’s
ability to detect the new 4G (LTE and WiMAX) wireless transmissions in the 700
MHz and 2.7 GHz bands, WiFi and Bluetooth activity in the 2.5 GHz band, and
signal activity in the 30 MHz to 2.7 GHz range.
The system design also facilitates a very low false alarm rate and
allows for the deployment of wireless devices to security personnel that will
not trigger alarms. The system design
also allows for the tracking and
location of security personnel, if desired.
The Aardvark and the Canary cell detectors are ideally suited for a cost effective turnkey solution in detecting and locating contraband cellular phones inside prison facilities including the grounds surrounding the facilities. The network also provides real time alerting of cell phone activity, logging with time stamps of all activity, and (optionally) information as to the cell format, frequency band, and cell provider. The integration of new innovative filtering schemes provides the ability to virtually eliminate false alarms caused by nearby cell towers, microwave ovens, and push to talk radios. The system also requires no access to any hard wired communication networks or power facilitating rapid low cost installation.

The Canary and Aardvark may be physically integrated into existing security cameras or be interconnected through the wireless network. This allows a camera to automatically steered to the location of the detected phone and transmit video to a central facility or to portable smart phones. This is illustrated with the adjacent screen shot with two active alarms shown with the relative location of the screen shots along with two camera shots. of these locations.
